Indeed sad. My prayers go up for his family.
This is a sad tale. A local minister who loved to fish was shot in the back of the head while fishing at his favorite fishing hole. He'd become a grandfather just a few days before he was shot.
Read the story
I hope they catch and fry this guy. While reading the article I realized my distant cousin is the sheriff down there..I'm sure they'll catch the guy.
Indeed sad. My prayers go up for his family.

This is a sad commentary on today's times. My prayers are with the ministeris family. As for the murderer I will forgive and forget because the Word tells me to. I forgive him and let his God judge him and I hope they sentence him and forget him.
This killing, and crime, has got to stop. People have got to start respecting human life!

Even though I would like to see this animale fry I do agree with shipahoy41. The ultimate punishment is the wrath of GOD. Our prayers go out to this mans family.
You are right. As humans we cannot send you to heaven or send you to hell. God will take care of this filthy murderer and spew him straight to hell!Originally Posted by Ragfly Jig Man

That is so sad. Sounds like it was for no reason too.

Did they get the guy?
While I know vengence is the Lord's an earthly punishment is needed to deter others who might think they can get away with murder.
Hi all. Two people were arrested for this crime over the weekend. A man from a small nearby town (my moms hometown) and a woman in Maryland. The press says her 3 children had been taken from her before this happened and awarded to different family members. Made me think she was into drugs..perhaps this was a meth-head robbery gone wrong.
As a minister this is shocking! I enjoy fishing, it gives me the emotional release I need from a stressful and hetic job. I love what I do, wouldn't even think of doing anything else, however from time to time I need to get away from everything. Crappie fishing is my way of escape, helps me keep the old nerves in check. It's a sad statement to what this old world is coming to.
