I had the fine honor of escorting the Kee Family from Jackson, Tenn. onto Chickamauga Lake today. I love taking families fishing! Richard Kee fishes the BFL Circuit and definitely knows his way around the water, but he's never done much catfishing. A previous client was kind enough to point the Kee's my way. Richard was really hoping his girls would catch some nice cats. They done good! There were a few times when I wasn't sure who caught who however, but Kim and Kelsey always came through. We weren't keepin', but I think we put about 15 quality cats in the boat today, with a several missed and lost fish for good measure. We found most our fish DEEP today... 55-60 feet. It takes some serious crankin' for an 11-year-old little girl to crank up a big cat out of 60 feet of water. A couple times Richard asked Kelsey if she wanted him to help. Both times she gave him a real dirty look. It was great fun, at least for me and I hope the Kee's. After they headed back to Jackson I popped in below Chickamauga Dam to see if I could coerce a smallmouth to bite in the rain. All I caught were more cats, including a 20-pound blue and a 10-pound channel that both busted a Bojole Flutter spoon. They hit the spoon solo but I did discover a new technique. Tip a Bojole Flutter with a strip of chicken breast and the cats can't resist. As always, life is good and gettin' better every day.

Great job Rsimms. That looks like they really enjoyed the trip.
