    Default Pickwick crappie today

Went back to Pickwick this morning with my wife. Started out slow until we located some fish holding in the creek channels. With ever pass choas would start as soon as the cranks ( Bandits )came off the flat. Most of the time we would have 3 to 4 rods down at a time. My wife had a blast. The biggest weighed 2 lb 1 oz with another one at 1 lb 14 oz. Ended up with 22 keepers by noon, we had to get off the lake before all the 4th boaters showed up.

Glad ya'll had a good trip. It started off slow for me too, I never did
really get on the good 'uns. Had a few crowding a pound and a half,
but no hawgs like that. I ended up leaving about 1:30 too, but only
because my ball-n-chain was nagging me to come home :o that was
a nice breeze, not too terrible hot.

Sounds like ya had a good morning fishin. I don't go near the lakes on holidays. I have tried a couple of times, not worth it. I can get enough fishin done in between the holidays...

I'm gonna guess around 450-500 miles, but that is a guess.
It was 400+ from my house to Biloxi when I used to make that run,
a good 50 or more North of me to Pickwick

I used to be the same way, but for whatever the reason, it was not bad
at all this 4th. Maybe because it fell mid week, or high gas prices -
but anyway, very, very few "lice" :D

Where were you guys fishing on Pickwick? You mentioned creek channels. I was wondering if you were up around Bear Creek area. Thanks for the info...

I'm about convinced your better half doesn't have access to a computer or your one brave sole!

But then on the other hand, if she's nagging at you all the time, what a great excuse to just leave and go fishing!!! :D :D :D
