I Live About 40 Miles From The Base. My Wife Seen It Come In While I Was Out Fishing. First The Bang ' Then The Shuttle.
A friend of mine sent this from California yesterday. First time shuttle has landed in CA in 2 years. Not many more Shuttle missions scheduled before the Shuttle program is retired.

Thanks for the photo.

That is a once-in-a-lifetime pic. Thanks for sharing. I'm waiting to see if them NASA boys find water on other planets because I want to be the first interstellar fishing guide, LOL. If it can be caught I want to try!!!

Hey Darryl Morris, when you get to be that space guide I want to be the first one to book a trip.
I hope there's gravity or it may take a lot of weight to keep your hook in the water. :DOriginally Posted by Darryl Morris
Yeah, we don't get to see things like that in the midwest. Thanks for sharing.
Since you like that sort of thing you might like this one. It was take by VFP-62 whe I was stationed with the squadron in the early 60s.

I spent a winter in Daytona and spent many an evening walking the beach by Ponce De leon Inlet. One night I was out on the pier during a shuttle launch at night. The inlet is just a little ways north of Cape Canaveral. Sure was a sight, and it was fun watching it with all the other gawkers.
Good things come to those who bait.
