    Default Trolling Reel (digital)..... pics

I haven't trolled any in a few years (4). I got out my digital reels from Cabelas and changed the batteries in them. Looks like they still work. I guess I need to start using some of this stuff sitting around the shop before it ends up in Honey's yard sale. haha

Jeff White, this is the "KILLER LURE".

Tom I like those reels. How big of line will they handle?
You need to run up here and we will put them to use for striper's. Shoot every time I take Todd he shuts the bite down. But I bet we could catch fish.
That is as soon as I can walk again.

Don't make them anymore. You have to disassemble the reel to change the battery. My son gave me these. He did not like having to change the batteries. He lazy. This is why they quit making them.

Here's a good little reel that I bought new off of E-Bay. You can usually pick them up for around 25 bucks. Just type in "line counter reel" as a search.
They are very powerful and come with the double paddle handle or the power handle which I have on. I have mine spooled with 10 lb yellow Stren.

Slabbandit, I like the looks of those - look a little smaller than the
Daiwas I'm using, which would be a good thing in my book.

looking at awesome pink bait with red treble on rear...
you been doing this awhile, ain't ya? :D

Oh yeah, Canepole - I will take your word for it on that bait
That might be what it took to get me into a casino, if they paid
    out in fishing tackle :p

Default Follow up on digital reels.

They didn't work too well. It has been 5 years, but I called Cabelas. It seems like these reels were a good idea that didn't pan out too good for Cabelas. They are gonna replace them with something of equivalent price. The young (I think) lady at Cabelas customer relations asked what I would like as a replacement. I told her to "surprise me". ha
