Default Best three days of Crappie fishing ever...

Sometimes a man has to brag, I was lucky enough to fish a private watershed in Elk County...Three of us together caught 442 crappie from Thursday through Saturday noon...Great fishing, hitting jigs off an anchored pontoon boat..mainly 10 to 11 inches, 6 went 13 1/2 and one 15 1/2 slab...Whew spent 4 1/2 hours total cleaning fish and gonna have a great Church fish fry..Sometimes they just don't quit biting but that doesn't happen all the time...Using pink head with red and chartruse and occasionally blue and white and sometimes a orange head...Heck they were so turned on they would have bit on anything...great fishing to everybody...

I hope that you did not keep all 442 of them...I know that you were claiming to use them for a church fish fry and that is great, but it can really hurt a fishery when you keep that many fish...Thankfully they have limits on most of our lakes out there....Keep what you need and throw the rest back for another day.

    Default Theres a reason..

My buddy who has the watershed in which I caught and cleaned 442 crappie is a Bass fanatic...He constantly wants me to go in and catch em all as he believes that Crappie will take over a lake and compete with the bass fry or even eat them....but its too large to catch em all and I don't mind obliging him....
