I have most my luck around 10' deep but picked up one at 15' yesterday. What depth are you finding most the crappie at? Surface water temp in my area is around 83.

Water temps are in the low 80's here too. We've been finding them in around 12'-15'. Yesterday we had overcast skies all day and the few we did catch were all in about 6'.

Didn't get to fish this weekend because of the weather here, but last weekend we caught all of ours at 6' in 14' of water, surface temps 81 - 83. Caught off of blowdowns.

We've been catching ours about 14' to 16' our surface temp is the same. We've been fishing standing timber and clear water.
A positive additude may not fix all of your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worthwhile.

Hey Tapout, Our water temp here is around 81 to 83 and the crappie seem to be at 9 to 11 feet deep. If I was reading my graph properly I saw the thermocline in the river channel at 16 feet.

On Weiss Lake in Alabama, we have been catching our fish on the river channel ledges in 14-16 feet of water. However, if we leave the ledges and fish our brushpiles...the brush we have in 12-14 feet of water is producing the best fish. Water temps have been in the mid 80's.

This afternoon I got them at about 14'-16' deep in 22' of water. Also got a big old kitty about 5# on that 10' WM Pro Series Rod and that was a fight especially around the brush!
