Default MS Crappie Fisherman out there?

I was just wondering how many MS crappie fisherman are out there. I live in south central MS. However, I usually fish in POOCH's neck of the woods around Natchez/Vidalia in Deer Park and Old River (Minorca).

    Default north mississippi crappie

I fish in North Mississippi mostly at Sardis and Arkabutla lakes. Just for information, we just had a tournament at Enid last Saturday and the wind almost blew us off the lake. The winning weight was a shade over 13 lbs. There weren't that many crappie caught that day. The big fish was 2.11 and most boats didn't catch more than 20 keepers all day. There were a lot of fish that had to be measured.

I fish Sardis and Arkabutla too. I haven't been in over a week, the wind is awful.

I live in Southaven and fish Tunica, Arkabutla, Lakeview and some of the Delta oxbows. A buddy and I caught 47 Slabs last Sat...in the WIND!!

Fish were caught 1 to 2 feet deep in 4 to 8 feet of water. Biting Pop-Eye jigs 1/32 ounce by Rattlesnake Lures.

    Good luck!
