    Default Crappie Nibbles, Niblets, Whatever???

What are these Crappie Nibbles, Niblets, whatever you guys are always talking about? I've done a search on the BPS website & no dice. Is this a well-guarded secret weapon? Is the uninitiated allowed to buy them? Where?

Both Wally worlds here have them in stock. And so have a couple of others I've been to in Georgia in the past month. Should be at your local one.

I don't hit the water without nibbles! Most of the Wal Mart stores in my area (West Tenn) carry the regular ones. The sparkle nibbles are a little harder to come by, but Bass Pro generally carries em as well as a few of the sporting goods stores. We go through a bunch of em and Buster, the wiener dog thinks they taste great! Sneaky little fart steals out of the nibble jar. The chartreuse ones usually work well and my wife swears by the gold sparkles. Good Luck!

The chartruse are better without sprinkles in the spring. Summer deep tightlining add the sprinkles, silver is the better with chartruse. Berley power bait "Niblets"! About $3.00 a bottle. Good luck, never leave home without them. Saved many a day when jigs or minnows won't work, but niblets turned the trick!! My two cents. Bruce, the again I bring along magic dust for similiar emergencies in fishing.

Hey, I have something from berkley that's used for trout that are like little marshmellows, orange in color, but a little smaller than marshmellows. I don't remember what was on the original container, I transferred them to small baby food type jars for space saving some years ago. Anyone here think these may work kinda like the nibbles or should I just dump them and buy the real thing?

    Default Try it!!!

Hey RZH I use the stuff in the pond to catch bluegills. It is kindof the same as what they are talking about. What you have floats and this stuff does not float the same as it but it could work. I have been tempted to use it crappie fishing and I might do that next time.
If in doubt, cross their eyes!!

Default Do a little pre-shopping at the Berkley site

Berkley makes the Crappie Nibbles, PowerBait, Gulp! and other fish attractants. We took advantage of a rebate offer they had (or maybe still have) on Nibbles and Gulp and ended up getting as much back for the two jars of Nibbles we bought as we paid for it at BPS. Doug won't be without his Nibbles. http://www.berkley-fishing.com

Try the "berkely Gulb" baits, the maggot ones, they out produced the nibbles on my last trip and lasted about 20 times longer.
To land one of my crappie i need a gaff and a .22 pistal :D

..saw a fishing show--can't remember--maybe In-fisherman..where the guy said he uses the trout nibbles for crappie because if the nibble comes off it floats---helps slow fall rate and tell when off....they're just there for scent mainly..
Tighten er down till ya strip it--then back off 1/4 turn..
    HEY,,Y'all watch THIS..........
