ok people lets have some fun and bring back some good ol' memories...ok?
lets say you were stuck on an island and you had a pole and reel and line ... but you were only allowed to have one lure weather it be new or old ... live or fake what would you choose...?

for me i would choose a rebel Wee crawdad in the chartreuse and black pattern

lets see how long this lasts

Wow that's a tough one, but I think it would have to be a glow head jig 1/16 oz. size, with the tail end of a nightcrawler on it. That combo has NEVER failed to catch fish, but is it too late to add a crappie nibble to it also? Make that a pink nibble. I think that would be my only bait if I had to choose one.

    Wink That'd be tuff ....

but, I'd probably go with a 1/16oz Roadrunner marabou in chartreuse. (unless you consider a plain ole hook as a "lure" :D )

Yes, staring at the sun is more fun.

If I was on an island, I'd be surrounded by saltwater, so I'd pick a chartreuse-over-white Clouser Minnow -- probably the most popular saltwater fly.

An island doesn't have to be surrounded by salt water. I live right on the Mississippi River and there are several decent sized islands I've camped on.

If the live bait is abundant, I'd stick with a good 'ole minnow. If not, I have to go with a red/black hot lips crankbait.

there are alot of variables here such as tropical island vs freshwater island, quantity of bait live vs fake (is there an unlimited supply of live bait?) If unlimited supply i always choose live bait over fake

    Tropical island

Live - gotta go with shrimp here
Fake - Chartuese and pink Mepps Muskie Killer

    Freshwater island

    Live - shiners
    Fake - silver mepps agilia

Well, I'd make me a Bob Clouser style jig/minnow and tip it with a Wax Worm to catch anything swimming.

The plain black and chartreuse jig would be an awfully close second.

I would have to day a 1/8 ounce unpainted head with a panfish assassin grub on it.
