Old Rod and Reel

Just wanted to know if any of you might have an idea on how old this rod and reel is that someone gave me today. The only information that I can find on the reel is the following.

NOBBY
mark
No. 1963
Made in U.S.A.
This is a baitcasting reel and the rod is made of steel.

The Steel Rod is probably older then 1940. My dad's first rod was made out of steel and he started fishing when he was pretty young. I still have the rod to this day. Never have used it since we have about 35+ other rods in the house. It could be 1920 vintage maybe. Just guessing here.
