Default They only wanted one jig

I really don't have any hair jigs, have always used tubes and grubs, but today they only wanted one jig. Wayne and I caught 14 keepers this morning and it was very tough mainly on me, think I caught only 3 keepers. Wayne is a hair jigger mainly Slaters as that is about all we have here, only place to buy is Wal-mart. This is the only one they wanted, had to bum one. I think its a 1/32 oz, I don't like the small hooks.

That jig would be very easy to tie yourself. And you could pick whatever hook you wanted.

Ditto to what deathb4disco said. Tying your own is fun and reduces stress. It's great to catch a fish on jigs you tied yourself. Cheaper too.

for some reason blue and purple are good colors for our waters. I read a lot about chartruse , but my go to colors are the above. Mix in a little flashaboo and hold on.

I think your water is a lot clearer than Okatibbee normally but with the lack of rain believe it is clearer than normal. I always liked blue in clear water.
