Thumbs up Please Tell Me Your Stories About This Minnow

This is one of my favorite "Go to" baits. I have caught everything from Crappies, Sauger, Perch, White Bass and Catfish on it. I am interested in reading your stories of how you have used it and what successes you have had.

My pastor and my son are skeptical about it and I would like to be able to show them this thread from real people instead of what is on the web by the inventor Bob Clouser. Please tell us your stories. Those of you unfamiliar with it should do a web search on the Clouser Minnow. Thanks.

June 11, 2007: 108 views and no responses. Makes you wonder. I know there are people on this board who try and give great input. Where are your responses? Does anyone else make these or a version of the Clouser? Have you had any success fishing them? They do well in Ohio and in Carolina for all freshwater species.

Post this question on a fly fishing board, and you'll get a ton of responses.

I have been tying them myself. Each one takes about three minutes. Fish it under a bobber float and let it slow fall. It is deadly on crappie. Substitute Marabou hair (White belly/ chartreuse top) and a flash tail instead of the bucktail.

    This is what DonG stated
"That one in Chart/Wht does great when I fly fish for crappie at our local lake..I really like the eyes..."

I still am telling y'all to just try it under a bobber. It is deadly on Panfish and Crappie. It is the Clouser minnow invented by Bob Clouser. Just think of it as a hook/jig

Shouldn't that be proof enough for your nonbelievers?

I've used one with good success in a private pond for bass and a few crappie and smaller ones for bream. I love the pattern myself, but I don't fly fish much.
