We started out the morning with some short rips and only managed to get 1 out of the first 5 fish in the boat. That's not uncommon when the rainbows are hitting, just makes you work harder to get the fish in. The early action was all on the surface with orange spoons and later in the day we changed a few inside lines over the flasher fly for a couple of kings as the rainbows shut down when the wind started to pick up. We fished the 70-90 foot depth and ended the day with 7 rainbows and 2 kings, two bows hit the 12 and 14 pound range. Alot of big air, as these big fish were jumping out behind the boat. Water temps still remain cold, that will keep the action improving day after day.
