    Default Pond Fishin' Success

First time post here... But I've been reading alot and learning...

Just thought I'd post a pic of the crappie we caught out of one of our ponds. It's a fairly big pond (about 5 acres) and was stocked with Black crappie around four or five years ago. We caught 14 keepers and a bunch of little ones. Most of the keepers were caught in about 8' of water around a pier that has telephone poles at the supports. The biggest weighed in at 1lb 11oz. All were black crappie except for one who looked like a white crappie to me. Here's the pic..

Welcome to CDC and nice catch....from the way the fish are laying it is hard to tell but most of them look like male white crappie to me that still are a little darker than normal from spawning.

Welcome from upstate NY... nice mess of fish you got there. Like bugman said, the vertical bars make them look mostly like white crappie from the angle of the photo.

Good catch!! Now if it's your pond aren't all of the fish keepers? There's no such thing as limits at my pond:D :D

Just Kidding but that is a nice mess of fish!
