    Default Line recommendation?

Can someone recommend a good line to put on my wife's zebco 11? It has 4 pound test, but I was hoping for some 6 pound that has a smaller diameter so it can still hold an acceptable amount. I know these lines exist, but i don't know what to look for. Thanks in advance, NRA

Boy, did you ask for it! Everybody always likes something different. I've got Zebco 11 T's on all of my long poles and I use 6lb Berkeley Vanish Transition line and Berkeley Trilene XL.

I really like Sufix Siege 6 pound in smoke green. The line diameter is .010", FYI.

If you use six pound you will have shorter cast. I have had less trouble with Trilene XL. I have tried several and they just could not compare. CF

The SOS 4Lb test is a new line that has everything you want low stretch, low memory, small diameter, and super strong, low cost $6.95 for 350 yard spool. The line is new and the name has not been spread around like Berkley, Stren and the big boy's, but it's a quality product
The ad below is for the 2lb test but they have 4lb test also.

Tectan has the best strength-to-diameter ratio I've ever seen. It's available from Cabela's.

Second choice would be Spiderwire XXX mono.
