Default Ya Gotta Love The Post Spawn

The crappie here are finally settling into a good Post Spawn pattern - stacking up on cover on points between spawning areas and deep channels.

I had a family from St Joe, MO fish with me yesterday (full-day) and today (half-day). In the two trips we kept over 60 crappie and about 20 of them were 14 to 15-inches long.

    Memorial Day

    Today

Eight-year-old Sarayah is quite the little angler. She handles my 10' poles better than a lot of adults. She caught a good one yesterday:

And several of our better fish today.

Sarayah and her parents have been coming to Hot Springs to fish with me once or twice a year for four years now.

Looks like mom and dad are struggling to hold all those fish up!
