Default I think there are a few people on the board that will agree

that a stick steering boat is the best overall crappie boat made....I sold this boat to Blackie several years ago but still fish out of it 90% of the time..You can put this type of boat in places that the others can't go..I have a Skeeter boat that I modified for crappie fishing but it stays in the garage more than on the lake...I miss not driving the SS boat...Blackie is now the Captain and I am First Mate... He does all the driving. We have fished together for many, many years and fuss a lot but not seriously....We have fished with a lot of people on the board and look forward to fishing with a lot more...

A couple of pictures from this past week.

What does steering have to do with catching fish? Am I missing something?

Remember, I made Blackie what I thought was a great deal on that boat and he turned me down. The offer still stands.

I think I've seen those areas before.

I've never driven a stick steer boat, but I'm sure it's nice to pull up drop your trolling motor and start fishing without ever leaving your seat. It also gives you a better view if someone's fishing with you, since they will be behind you and you don't have to look around them.

Value a good consistent fishing buddy, even if you don't always see eye to eye. They don't grow on trees. Especially with ones with boats.

What brand of boat is the stick steer?

Good things come to those who bait.

Grizz, we thought about you every time we past the "Blue Slide"... Have you made it down this year?

It is a 17' Duracraft...Sam Davidson, owner of Duracraft at the time, let me draw one up like I wanted...That was 1997....It has been a great boat...
