17 years!

Well 5 Mid West states are getting the best fish bait I have ever fished with, for FREE! The Cicadas are coming out after 17 years! Fish with them:D
We had them a few years back and it was the best year for fishing I can remember! Has anyone fished with them? How did you do? I have caught Bass, Gills, Crappie, Catfish on them. What species of fish have you caught on them?

Boy have you hit the nail on the head. They are the best bait I have ever seen. Actually many many years ago when I lived in southern IL there was a hatch one year and if you wanted to catch fish that is what you used. The fish didn't want any thing else. Seems like the bass and catfish really inhaled them. But we caught everything on them. Even the bluegill somehow managed to choke them down. The lake we were fishing was right in the middle of a forest and you almost had to wear earplugs to fish but getting bait was easy. Just bend over and pick them up when you needed one.

I've had good luck with locusts, even tho I was told fish didn't like them, Nobody told the catfish! These look even better (only thing I've had a problem putting a hook in, they really didn't like it. Good luck!!

Are you all talking about the little orange ones?If so they are awesome bait:D When i was a kid they came out one summer and we flat tore up the fish with them.Hope they pop out here in MO.Great perch bait and i will have to try them on Crappie.
