    Thumbs up new knife blades

All mine were wore out to the extreme, I'd sharpened them a bunch
and even had to peen the rivet to tighten them up (American Angler)
Finally broke down and picked up a pair other night, took a chance on
some of the "necked down", narrow ones - said something about
"shark blade" on the pack. Only cleaned five fish with 'em so far,
but I think I'm really liking that narrow blade! Of course, anything is
so much better than what I had, it may not be a fair comparison :D

    Default Thin type

I think you will like, I switched to them last year and like them a bunch.

How are the boards doing, I am picking up more right behind the boat then on the boards. Went to two poles straight back with PowerPro and picking up more fish on them. Trolling with electric mounted to main motor.

I have all 3 sets of blades for the American Angler Electric knife and the thin ones do the best job. I found that any crappie over about 11 inches and the smaller blade has a hard time cutting thru the ribs. The larger blade does good with anything larger and the thin blades ( I picked up at Wally World) do a good job on any size crappie. Just my 2 cents.

I've been looking at those narrow blades and wondering how they would do. I'll have to get set and try them out. If I get a good set of the regular ones to start with they'll do 3 or 4 thousand crappie before they get too dull and sloppy at the rivet.

Yeah, Jeff, if it is the blades I'm thinking of, you did need some new one.
They had trouble cutting through some ribs on some 11" plus fish when you were down here...:D
