Truman or LOZ. I'll do my best to be there.
Hopefully October 10th I'll be fishing Kentucky Lake.

It is time to plan a fall crappie camp at Bucksaw on Truman. drfishjd's computer is down and he wanted me to send this out. He wants to take the lead in organizing this camp when we decide on a date. I selfishly agree to be a co-organizer.
Looking at my calender, I would suggest the weekend of September 14. Let us hear from everyone about this date.
As I understand it, and drfishjd will correct me if I am wrong, we can all stay in the campground, stay in a big community bunkhouse or rent cabins. I vote for the campground or cabins. What do you think?
Whatever we decide, I feel the important thing is to all stay in close proximity to one another so we can all gather around , build a big fire, cook some good vitals, (maybe we can get Randy and the boys from La. to come up and treat us to some real food) smoke some big stoggies and tell some even bigger lies. (God knows we sure as hell can't catch any crappie!)
What do you think?

At that time of the year the weather would be great for camping, weather it be tent or camper so my vote is for campground. But i will be there one way or another.(even though that is opening weekend of bow season )
I am all for the camping. Otherwise you will have to be seperated into groups in the evening hanging out at one cabin or another. Sounds like a graet time. I am only 35-40 miles from there. So if you need any help let me know.
Camping sounds good to me...mid september sounds perfect.

I'm in! I like the campground idea too.
I'm in. The only thing I know about Truman is that its a lake. You all may have to point me in the right direction. I'm for camping as well. Can we drink beer in the campground? Some places get kinda funny about that.

Don't know the regs, but I'll be have a few with ya whether permitted or not. If Crappiechic can't make it, we can team up together. Save you some $$ in gas not havin' to pull the boat.Originally Posted by saluki
