Bow Mount TM Lock?

Anybody have a bow mount trolling motor lock? the only one i have seen requires bolting a U bracket around the shaft to the deck of the boat. minn kota doesnt make one i assume

Hey Hurricane,

I recently purchased a Minn Kota trolling motor for the bow of my pontoon boat and purchased a Minn Kota Quick Release Mount. It bolts to the deck and the TM slides into it. There is a U bar that holds the two together and can be pad locked. I bought mine at BPS and am looking at it in the Cabela's Spring 2007 catalog right now. Hope this helps.

I got a powerdrive v2 and i wasnt sure wheter to get the quick release or not. its more money, but it would be safer.

i just cant imagine somebody walking out to my boat in the marina and taking the thing off! thats why i was looking into a lock instead of that bracket.

I have the 55# powerdrive V2. I keep mine in a Marina and feel a little better with it pad locked and covered.
