Default Crappie Guide For Lake Hartwell, SC

I called the number on the website http://www.earthroute.com/Lake-Hartw...pie-Guide.html that Falcon Smitty gave me. I called the number, and apparently the website is outdated. The guy said that all he does is groups of 4 or more fisherman all day for Stripers on Lake Murray. When I told him I was looking for a Crappie Guide for Hartwell, he said, "I'm not your guy."

Can anyone recommend a crappie fishing guide for Lake Hartwell?

Hartwell is best known for hybrid's and stripers and that is what most guides cater too.
Here is a link to a map of marina's. You may call some of them and get a recommendation.

Yo could also email the South Carolina Crappie Assoc. to see if they have anyone who guides on that lake.

Also post your request on the Georgia and South Carolina boards directly with a heading Hartwell Crappie guide wanted.

didn't mean to send you a bum link. Hope you find a guide.

No problem, Falcon Smitty. That web link sure looked like the very thing I needed. I guess they have just gotten out of the Crappie Guide business. So far, no leads on either the GA or the SC boards. But I have sent an email to the President of the SC Crappie Association. I'll let you know if anything turns up. I really appreciate your efforts in trying to help.

Default Sometime last year I remember seeing an article on

a guide that fishes for crappie on Hartwell in Georgia Outdoor News....I cant remember his name but I remember paying attention to the article because I fish on nearby Clarks Hill...It was sometime last spring...I wish I could help further but maybe this clue will point in the right direction.

Thanks studawg170, I've sent an email to the GON asking if they can help. I've also sent an email to a guide who works Lake Oconee asking if they know of anyone on Hartwell. Still no reply from the SC Crappie Association. If I can't find a guide, I guess I'm back to square 1.
