    Default Wiring question.

I need to wire some stuff up on my boat. What kind of wire would be good for running lights, aerators, and such.

On aerators and other stuff with the two alligator clips pos. and neg. , could I cut off the clips and run the hot wire to a toggle switch and then to the battery and ground the neg. on a screw or something? What would be the correct way to do that.

Also what is the price range on an onboard charger that will charge three batteries at the same time and where to getem.

Bought a three bank charger at bass pro two weeks ago and it was $99.00 they are regularly $149.00. if you know some one who has a military ID card bass pro gives a 10% discount 15th thru the 22nd of every month. the charger has 5amps per bank but it will evenly distribute the 15amps depending on the need of the charge on the different batteries. It came with a two year manufactures warranty. good luck and good fishing.

you have to route the negative wire back to the negative side of your battery. If you're doing this on an aluminum boat, never connect any circuit to the hull or any part of the boat. this will cause electrolysis, which can cause serious pitting and corrosion on your hull. If you connect any circuit to an aluminum boat, this puts a positive charge in the entire hull. when this boat is in water, the charge discharges into the water, taking aluminum particles with it. lol
