New guy here--We are coming down to check out your crappie fishing on Kentucky Lake, the last week of March. Can anyone tell me of a good site to get the running charts from? Also tell me about the kinds of rods, You, guys use. Like how many per person and the best length,reels-ect. Any and all help will be appreciated. I have a ton of questions. We will be coming down from the bottom end of Lake Huron. Looks like a neat site...and Thanks again.....Blue

    Default Maps

Cheap way is to get map from Atlantic Mapping, Inc. They have gps coordinates picturing humps, culverts, ruins, etc. If you have a gps, you can go to these locations. You will find man made structure in these areas too. lol...
If you want to catch some fish while you are here, call Richard Williams. He is a local guide and will put you on the fish. He may be booked up though, but give him a call.

Did you not go up the The 'foot. After you see it, you will be like "to hell with KY lake." You get to fish up there without jet skiers or green carp boat riders running 70 mph 15 yds from you. And there is cover everywhere. Its like heaven compared to Old Hickory lake near Nashville. KY lake is big enough you can get away from a lot of the annoyers too. I actually like Barkley myself, up around Bumpus Mills.

yes,I was at the foot. Are You saying the foot is better than Kentucky lake? Lots of blinds, and just a little shallow, and very busy. Liked the all you can eat -catfish-at the south end-that was great. I was just thinking that kentucky lake would be better, little do I know. Have you fished the foot?
