kissimmee river

Hi,

Just moved from Michigan to the Kissimmee River Fishing Resort. Have been doing ok with minnows in the morning and have just started to learn to troll/jig for them. If anyone has any tips, that would be great. I have been fishing below the locks near shore with chart/green spinner jigs. I have been trolling really slow and have caught a few that way. (8 or so) Nothing like i hear about everyone else catching (30-40). Any tips would be great. Also anyone know how far it is to the lake from my park? Heard about Kings Bar and would like to give that a try. Thanks.

Hi! I have been fishing the river also. The last 3 days the bite has been real slow. We did not do very good today.
We have been catching most of are fish on jig and minnow. The orange and yellow has been working the best for us. I use the 1/32 Teezur jigs.
They have not been doing to good out at Kings Bar, from what I have heard.
Hope things improves with the full moon coming up soon.
