    Default Question

How deep do you put the lights in the water? FYI- I fixed up a clamp on light with a 40 watt rv bulb and hooked it to a 34amp hr deep cycle wheel chair batt, turned it on. Eight hours later still burnning. Will try same batt on starfires, one batt per light. These batt,s are small in size, sealed and much easier to handel. Dynamite comes in small packages. Any thoughts or experances with this type batt?

You don't have to have the lights in the water deep at all. I use the starfire and place it just below the surface.

Sounds like you have a good battery. Let us know how the starfires do.

    The folks at http://www.fishinglightsetc.com
Have tons of info on how to calculate battery life. Basically it boils down to how many Amp/hours the battery is rated at and how many amps the light draws. Divide the amp/hours by the amperage of the light then subtract a couple hours because when the battery gets below 80% discharged, the light may start to get dim or not work.
