    Default Jon boat help...

Hello everyone!! I was wondering what type of epoxy or sealant would work well on repairing a few small leaks on an old jon boat. I have one small hole to fill (about the size of a dime) and a small crack where the boat weld is on the side of the boat, where it joins the transom. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Jb Weld is great for that kind of stuff. I use it all the time for small repairs. Great product. They also make a marine version as well, but either will work great.

use jb weld on the two leaks, after it drys coat the whole botton with fiber-glass resin. don't need the cloth just paint the resin on thick, had 14' boat did it 3yrs ago rivits leaked and it still don't leak. 1/2 gal with hardner mixed will do about 3 coats on a 14' er

if at all possible, take it to a welder and have them welded. If you can't, then try what Ken said.

Absolutely about the Durafix. The stuff is great.

    Just do not buy it!!!!

You can get the same type aluminum welding, brazing rod at any tractor supply or welding shop for 1/10th of the cost of durafix.
