Hi there, looks like were going to have another bout of snow in the central and northern half the next day or two. Hopefully we can get rid of it quick. Anyway, I was looking for any information regarding Thomas Hill Resevoir. I work in the gearbox and material handling business and am scheduling a trip next week to go up to the power plant there and thinking about trailering my boat with me. Has anyone heard any reports yet? I have never fished there before and have always heard that you can catch some nice one there. Any info would help. Thanks in advance!

Rattler, I have not heard of any reports this year most people go there when its real cold. And it hasnt been cold enough for them to go there. But I have fished there once, most people fish in the warm water arm. It is on the east side of the lake. I dont remember the road name that you turn on but it is marked for a ramp access. I all I remember is the turn is in the middle of curve. Once you get there the ramp is right next to the warm water outlet. You should be able to see some current moving, head up that at idle speed try to stay in the middle of the channel. Once you get up there it will open up we fished up next to the damn on westside and found some brush piles out in center.

What company do you work for? just curious I use to be in material handling business myself. Work for a company in fulton that is no longer in business.

Rattler, I was up there about a week ago and I would say the fishing was fair. The guys that fish the lake on a regular basis have been doing well. They seem to know where the brush piles are. Brush is the key, if you can find brush in 6-10' you will find some fish. Good luck.
PS. when I was there they weren't generating and still caught fish were the warm water wasn't affecting the water temp.

Thanks for the informations gentleman. Sounds like a hit or miss type of situation. If the weather permits, I just might have to try it. Anyhow, I am a manufacturers rep that sells conveyor idlers and gearboxes. My idler company is Goodman Conveyor and Hub City is my gearbox line. Good luck fishing!
