    Default Fly fishing @ night

Has anyone had luck fly fishing for crappie at night around lights? I can catch hundreds of tiny bream (on top) but never catch a crappie, or large bream for that matter. I use wooly buggers and clouser minnows along with a variety of top water lures with the same results, tiny bream. Any suggestions?????

I've never tried it, but I would think a large weighted nymph or streamer on a sinking-tip line would be a possibility. At night under lights they will need the bait to get down to where they are, and out just beyond the light where they are. Keeping the lure big will keep those pesky little fish off of it. Good luck and tell us how you did!
    I have a jig with a face like this!
