looks like you had a fun day..er..2 days catching them cohos.. that is a big pond you are fishing.
Finally the coho are in! Well me and my grandpa went out on Sat. on Lake Michigan out of Walkegan IL with it being just me and him. He had to stay with the wheel most of the time and so it was a little chaotic at times with it just being me. We set up little south of the harbor marking some fish and didnt get anything. We trolled north in 12-28ft pf water and picked up the first coho of the day on a mardi gras fly and an orange 00 dodger. We continued to troll north without a hit until we reached the stacks when we picked up more on the mardi gras fly and 00 dodger. We did some switching up with the birds and finally got one of the yellow birds to go being a nice coho. The action was pretty steady and easy going untill we trolled east into 35-40ft of water when all h*ll broke loose and we had doubles, rods going off while setting other rods. It was fun. We got our limit of 10 fish and headed in. We ended up with 9 cohos and 1 laker. The laker came on a smurf spoon 15ft down on a downrigger.
Now for the 2nd report. We went out with a 3rd guy on Sun. and this time made a run up to alcatraz(a name for a small rock island in the lake). We set up in 15ft of water and trolled north east. Picking up cohos steadly. When we reached 20-40ft of water the action picked up. We got our limit in 2 1/2 hours of 15 fish. All of them being cohos.
This is from Sat. of me with a coho the first coho of the day.
This is also from Sat. of the laker.

Nice fish! Excellent pics!
CATCH A BIG-UN
Fishing Grampas rule!
Good things come to those who bait.
Nice fish! We have a couple lakes near here with those Mackanaw Lake Trout like you're holding, where they get over 30lbs. Odell, Crecent, and Summit lakes I know for sure. Hard to catch but a good source of fish storys and fish oil. We have to go to the ocean for the Coho(silvers), where they get up to around 15 lbs. Average is probably around 5-8 lbs. Tasty!
I have a jig with a face like this!
Nice catch crappiekid24.
Now that's the right way to spend your weekend! Beautiful fish!
What makes a better lightning rod than a graphite fishing rod? NOTHING!
