Fished NW Wisconsin near my camper.Rick and I caught over 1000 panfish over a week of panfishing.Crappies and bluegills are extremely active all over the lakes we tried. The wind was relentless all week.If you found bays with little or no wind...the fish were there actively feeding on everything.Didn't matter what bait you threw...they'de hit it.Now is the time to be out there hitting the shallow shorelines. Most of our fish were caught with little or no wind on the north ends of the lakes. We fished Pokegama near Spooner, along with Bass lake.We also fished Largon lake near Cumberland.Crooked Lake, and Clear Lake in Siren. All lakes were quite active!

Sorry no pix.I need to update my digital or find out why my computer won't let me upload any pics....

Lake temps ranged anywhere from 60-64 degrees.Won't be too long, and crappies will be fanning out their nests getting ready for the spawn. We caught only a few crappies that were really black slimed....so it is only a matter of time.
