Cook i had a big one on my crappie rod Saturday down at Truman that got away but not before i saw him.Had to be at least 25-30 lbs.My dad about crapped when that thing rolled by the boat and broke off.Sure wish i coulda landed it had about 7-8 inches between the eyes and looked to be a big blue cat.Took me for quite a ride :D

    Cook,
was gonna go catfishing last night but something came up and couldn't go. Will try again tonight.
Do you fish from bank or from boat ? is night time better ? I'm new at this catfishing.
I assume you fish back of the coves ?

Guys, the water is starting to recede a little.Right now I'm fishing where any creek is dumping water into the lake still,or up in flooded grass. Not deep at all,I've seen their backs sticking out of the water.Nightcrawlers are my first choice, followed by fresh cut shad.If you catch more than a couple drum,MOVE!!

I work nights ,so most of my fishing is mornings.
