JUST CAME IN FROM CLEANING FISH-NOTICED THAT A FEW OF THE FEMALES HAD SOME EGGS! IT SEEMS KIND OF EARLY FOR THIS UNLESS OUR RELATIVLY MILD WINTER IS GOING TO CAUSE AN EARLY SPAWN.ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS???WATER TEMPS. HERE ARE IN THE MID 40"sAND HAVE BEEN CATCHING MOST OF THEM IN FLATS BETWEEN MAIN CHANNEL ANC CREEK--22FT OF WATER. LOTS OF OTHER CRAPPIE FISHERMEN OUT FISHING SIMILAR AREAS!ALMOST LIKE THEIR STAGING???THANKS FOR ANY INPUT ON THIS---DENNIS

In my experience they always have ova in 'em in the winter. Dogs and cats like eating them while you're cleaning them, least thats what we always do.

Now it probably ain't real good for 'em, but they like it. I had a German shepard named Fred when I was growing up and he was nuts for 'em. Now I have a Labrador and she lives in the house so she won't be getting any.(probably make her flatulence unbearable, as if dogs ain't bad enough)

Cleaned 40 this evening. And about half of them were full of eggs.
16 ft of water in the stumps on Reelfoot.
