    Default Question about Powder Paint

I've got how to use it down great, I just have one question.
On a high detailed jighead, with stuff like lips, scales, ect, would it cover it evenly and show detail or would it just do a smooth coating all around it? If anyone knows or can find out for me that'd be great. If not, I'll just airbrush them. That'll look better anyway. Thanks again y'all, this site is great. But I'm off to pour some of those jigheads. :D

You can get it to show that detail by not heating the jig as hot before dipping it.The hotter the jig is the thicker the powder will stick. You will just have to experiment with different heats. You could also buy a powder puffer and apply a fine coat that way also.

Hey smoothlures I tied a few of your mixed hair and feathers and I do like them better than just hair, but I still don't know if I like them as much as just feathers.

    Here are a few pics:

Those look good. I'll be sending a few out and we'll let the crappie decide what they like.

Skip, I don't believe they can be made to look better.

I use a fluid bed for powder painting.
