WOW! That looks soooooo good. we did not have a great year around Missouri( in my neck of the woods). The weather was not good, 70 degrees one day and in the upper 20s the next. I hope you enjoyed them, sure made my mouth water.
Anyone finding any Morels?

We just started finding them last week-end in good numbers I have gotten about 100, all types.

I am assuming your talking about mushrooms? I love mushrooms but have never had wild mushrooms. Having just moved to Ok from Calif (3 yrs ago) I have never heard of such a thing. Only mushrooms that grew out there would kill you if you ate them. At least thats what I was told. How do you know which ones to eat?

That looks good.
As far as I'm concerned, they come in a jar. :DOriginally Posted by GlenC

Morels are about the best shroons there are. It is easy to tell them from bad shroons. The only close one is the false Morel and the cap doesn't connect at the bottom. They sell for $20.00 to $60.00 a pound, if you can even find them.

Did a bit of looking this weekend, all I found was a couple of Aminita Muscaria, which I thought was a bit wierd this time of year. Some years they are everywhere, this year nowhere around here.
I have a jig with a face like this!
