I like the clear 6lb stren.
i know this topic was up b4 . but i had a nasty experience this weekend and was cyurious what you all use. I use mr crappie 6lb high vis test. My brother uses a clear line 6lb test we cought about 30 crappie this weekend but he prolly cought 85% of the keepers i was doin the exact same thing he was doin just not getting the bites so i put a pole out with clear line and immediately cought 2 nice slabs. So i was curioue what types of line is best?
I like the clear 6lb stren.
4lb Triline XL is hard to beat! Got the right amount of stretch, limp, low memory, and strong.
I like 6 lb stren magnaflex line.. this one casts really nice.. I recently bought a 3000 yard spool of it.
I like Sufix smooth casting 6 pound test. When I may be fishing for bass the same day, I'll take a little heavier rod with 8 pound test.
I like BPS Excell in green,Clear/blue at night with blacklight
i have used clear/green/blue & white they all have worked just about the same 4 me. the line im using now I found on the bank at local lake 8lb wal-mart line :D
I use 10# Stren clear blue for all my Crappie fishing. I've tried 4-6# and the only difference is more lost jigs and broken off fish in tight cover. I can horse slabs out of brush and see -saw them on limbs with very few break offs.
The 10# line sinks slower and that helps when fishing standing timber. We catch alot more fish on the fall with 10# over 6#.
Use what you have confidence in. That is more important than brand or size. If your in extremely clear water I could understand fishing with a smaller line.
