    Default Jellybelly Jigs

Been scatching my old head trying to figure out how they make jellybelly jigs,
and can't figure how to get the feathers under the belly without destroying
    the feathers............I know I only have a G.E.D.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the jelly part is shrunk on over the marabou.
Like those shrinkys you put over electrical connections. It's just made of a different material.
At least that's what it looks like to me.

Someone on this forum will set us straight on it. This is a great place to learn.

the marabou is tied on the jighead ... then that is placed in a mold, and the plastic "jellybelly" is poured onto it. As I understand it, it takes a special mold to accomplish this. There are several "makers" of this style of jig ... a couple of whom are members here. That's about all I remember of the previous discussion about "molding" this style of jig.
