I'm looking to buy a new fishfinder/gps. I have been eyein' the humminbird
797 c2 si.. This side imaging looks like the ticket, but speaking of ticket it's right at a grand. Do any of you use this model?

Mike Simpson with Crappie Magic has one. Not sure of the exact model though. We got to look it over at the Ar Crappie Camp and it was really a cool unit. He gave us a little seminar on it and after I asked the price, I was wondering when he was putting on a seminar on dealing with the wife after you buy one of those units :D :D :D

    Default 797 c2 SI

There is another website with discussion board for the H'bird SI units. This board has specific section for each of the SI units plus a general discussion

    http://www.xumba.scholleco.com/index.php

I have one of the 797 units tha I'm just learning to use. The technology is really something. I'm finding a lot of structure that I did not know existed.

The website for Humminbird really leaves a lot to be desired. On both of the websites about SI units there are folks from Humminbird on that are very helpful.

Like 'bobberwatcher' stated the price is a difficult item. Can always tell the wifey that it was the same one you had last year LOL.

Send me a PM if I can be of any help.
