I got skunked in Morris Creek also. The surface water temperature was 36 degrees when I started and 39 when I left. It was also a fast moving (1.2 mph on GPS) out going tide. I think the combination of cold water and the wrong tide were enough to keep the fish from biting. Nobody was catching any fish.

I did accomplish my mission. The new bow mount trolling motor works great. In combination with the stern trolling motor, I have fantastic control over the boat when drifting or strolling.

A few more days of this nice weather should get them going.

    Wow guys
I was hesitant to say how my day went till I read everyones replies. I went to Northwest River in Chesapeake. I got there late because I had insomnia and the bait shops around there weren't open so I went with jigs and lures. I tossed one that I had to retrieve so I went to shore to get and my prop on trolling motor caught on a branch and spun the nut off. I have a 10ft Jon boat and that is what propels it besides oars. I didn't lose the prop but I paddled around in the wind for about 3 hours. lol I got skunked but did see fish on the fishfinder. I went to their depth but couldn't entice them with anyhting I had. Water temp started at 37 and ended at 41-42. The river was about 3ft down and some of the feeder creeks were making the water cloudy and muddy. At least I didn't lose any equipment or lures.
