I got skunked in Morris Creek also. The surface water temperature was 36 degrees when I started and 39 when I left. It was also a fast moving (1.2 mph on GPS) out going tide. I think the combination of cold water and the wrong tide were enough to keep the fish from biting. Nobody was catching any fish.
I did accomplish my mission. The new bow mount trolling motor works great. In combination with the stern trolling motor, I have fantastic control over the boat when drifting or strolling.
A few more days of this nice weather should get them going.
