Thumbs up Ray Hubbard/Lavon Crappie info ?

New Guy to the forum and I wanted to see if anyone has been fishing on Ray Hubbard or Lavon recently with any luck. I don't get a chance to go very often and usually end up jigging around the bridge piers. Want to expand my territory.

TKS. I see you have a few post there too. I'll be checking that site out also. If you see Kenner center console on Hubbard or Lavon with name hebrews 11:1 on the transom, that's me.

Guess I'll go pick up another Hoola Hoop and hit I30 bridge.

I would fish creeks right now. Find deep holes and you'll find fish. They'll be against the brush. Work slow. I'll be tubin in a creek in the mornin.

I almost never use minners. I'm a jigger. I'd use a 1/6th jig with a white or chartreuse 2" curly grub. The water isn't moving and the grub has just the right action. Bring a bunch because the snags are plentiful. Use a 6lb line.

I will be glad when we get the "thump" back. All the crappie I have caught have bit, swimming with the lure. All I could feel is a very slight resistance.
