    Default PANOPTIX vs. LOVESCOPE

What say ya’ll? My wife is asking for my Christmas wish list for our fishing adventures. I currently have two LOWRANCE Hook 2’s but thinking of upgrading. I am NOT brand driven either. Just looking for expert insight.

    Thanks.....

I'm pretty sure we all knew what you were asking but the reply possibilities with that title........boy, it was hard to resist but we all did!
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

    Default LIVESCOPE

Garmin Livescope hands down!!! You have a wide range of chartplotters to choose from (GPS or Echomape Plus units) that are compatible with Livescope. LiveVu is like the first generation of Garmin's Panoptix. Livescope is like a live video, very detailed. I have mine mounted on a transducer pole using a ram mount. I went with the Echomap Plus 93sv but wish I had paid a little more and went with a GPS model to get full use of Active Captain. Using SideView to find structure, brush piles, and lay downs, then use Livescope to see exactly what kind of structure it is, the depth, and if it's holding any fish or not. Also great tool for fishing docks. Love the Livescope.... its a great tool and time saver.
