    Default Sticky Problem!

Anything that can be added to tubes and grubs to keep them from drying out?

Len, what your looking for is plastic lube from M-F manufacturing out of Fort Worth Tx. It's the product soft plastics are packaged with. I have a gallon of it as I often pour my own worms and such.

If you can't find it online PM me and I'll get the info for you.

I put some fish attractants like Yum or Fish Formula on plastics in a sealed container when I'm storing them for the winter or for long periods of time.

hmmm... I've never had them dry out on me. My son had a curly tail grub (PowerBait) that he left on his rod over the winter and it still looks and feels like new.

I keep all my tubes in a Plano 3600 box and none of them are dried out after sitting since October.

Do you live in a dry climate - like Arizona?

I wonder if drizzling some cod liver oil on them might do a double duty of keeping them from drying out and being an attractant?

If you are using Berkely Gulp baits they dry out very fast. The only way I know of to keep them soft is to put them back in a Gulp bag. It is not recommended to put a used bait back in with new baits. I try and keep an old Gulp bag to put the used baits in.

Use Cod Oil it serves as a lubricant and attractant at the same time. A natural fish smell. Works well for me.

    Default Try This

I use mineral oil. A small drop goes a long way.
It is not enough that a man should toil and provide, but that he be granted the pleasure of fishing with a friend.
