Very nice catch!
Pretty clear wording on the sign for sure , but you know I rolled up to it and thought this about that .
This means some folks who put a hook in the water in hopes of ketchn a fish aint allowed to go beyond that point .
The very next thought that crossed my little pea brain was this …..NOT applicable ….
I have no intention of breaking any rules of any sort and to be sure am NOT visiting to go fishing …...I am for sure here to ketch crappie though ,so open said gate and let me in ….
the show is about to begin
Well I thought so anyway , but I got there and quickly found the crappie not liking my agenda much . I thought small and light for a finicky summer bite and this was yet another mistake for the you think you got them corned thought process .
So I struggled to ketch a few small crappie and a bream or 2 and my bud who is dropping a rather long bait in a natural color is whacking
I said ok ok ok OK ,give me one of your baits please enough is enough …..
AND from that point on it became for sure what it was intended to be from the start .
The ketchn show …..
real deep and real still and raise it ever so real slow and DO NOT jig it AT all ….and be ready because for sure it will get hit hard when you think you have raised the bait to high up to get bit ! Now mind you some would say why didn't you just put it at the depth they were taking it at and I will tell you I tried over and over and that did NOT work !
it was very specific and very tricky ,but to be sure once you got in the groove it was ON
KABOOM is the word and yes we released them 70 something fish in 2 hours to go about whatever they was doing in the first place .
2 pm to 4 pm in around 15 fow all over the condos we set a few months ago in the boat slips …
AND it was most assuredly a go natural or go home bait color that visit
p.s. note the size difference in the fish when I used a small jig versus his big jig in the last photo …..just saying
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whalesS10CHEVY, Crappieorbust LIKED above post
