Jig Tying Vise Advice

Hey All, I'm Trying to get started tying my own jigs, and gonna order a vice
wednesday and seen some on ebay.They are Danvice and they are made of delrin plastic with steel jaw's for $66.95.
I know Danvise has a good name, but was wanting some feed back on this vise.

any of them should work. Some folks like the turning vice. I don't use a vice at all now. Just my thumb and forefinger.

I've had a few vises, and my workhorse is a Cabelas Super vise II $16.99. It's tied more flies and jigs than I could sell use or give away. My experience says stay away from plastic.

That is the same vise I used last year and it's a good vise and is the lowest cost true rotary vise that you can buy, which I like. I got a new one last December and it cost quite a bit more.

I like being able to rotate the jig to see all sides as needed. Many times I use that feature, as a matter of fact I turn my jig each time I tie one for several reasons.

I do not like a stationary vise which is what you get for the lower cost ones. On the other hand some people don't like tying with a rotary vise.

Gary that is the one I have been looking at. And a lot of people like the Danvice.
And If I don't change my mind, That is the one I will have soon.

I use a AA vice that only goes for 10$ I'm on my second one & it'll handle thousands of jids.
Sure i have to rotate the jig 180 degrees which requires me to loosen the jaw & rotate the jig and reclamp.
I guess you like whatever you get acustomed too.
I'll probally try out a better vice on my next purchase.
