I've no 8 ft but several 10 ft Ozarks, good sensitivity for vertical jig and they have held up well to cats. Ain't broke one yet and use 10 lb braid.

I fish an ACC Crappie Stix GS08M Green series 8′ rod when vertical jigging. I love it, it is very light and has plenty of backbone. Also, Andy Lehman is tops for customer service.
I am interested in trying an Ozark SS 802 S Lite Tip / Medium Backbone Jigging Rod 8 ft.
Can:
1) Anyone tell me how these two rods compare?
2) Does any one know of a valid coupon code for Ozark?
Thanks

I have two friends who swear by their ACC rods.
Im not sure about that exact model but I have a 8 ozark and I love it! Use it pitching a cork and long lining! I have a bunch of ozarks (8-14, 3-10 rear seat 1-11 and the 8) and cant say anything bad about any of them! I do have one 10 rear seat acc and like it to tho!

Thanks for the reply. I ordered a 9' rear seat last night. The ACC is very light to hold, I hope the Ozark is light as well. Have a great day.
