Default Transport rack- where to mount and why

I'm in the process of rigging a new boat and it's now time to mount my spyderlok rod transport.
On my little stick steer I had a driftmaster tip saver mounted on the starboard. When viewing others I see that most mount on the port side.

I need help. Which side to mount on and why?

Just whichever side that you like the best and you can still easily work your steering and controls etc.

I’m thinking starboard as long as I don’t get into any wiring or motor controls. Thought being to leave port open for boarding and keep storage boxes useable.

I used port side as it’s easier to dock with the starboard side open.

Another thing to consider is low hanging limbs on the road side. Rods on the left are away from any limbs and rods on the right could possibly get snagged. My boat is slightly wider than the truck so I have to be careful about that anyway.
