Default Hitting a pressured, over populated crappie pond tomorrow.

There is a a local storm water retention lond that is highly pressured, but from reliable sources, say its ripe full of crappie. So I'm thinking of taking the fly rod to give them something different than what they are used to. I'll take my spinning rod too, but I want to see if flies work because I doubt the fish have seen many artificial flies. My wet flies I'm going to spray with slab sauce and fish under a float. I hope I have a good outing with many slabs on the line!

beetle spin or tiny traps ripped threw them fast could also work.

That's my thoughts! I figured a fly would hold the sauce really good. Especially wet flies.

I've only bigger traps for bass fishing. You know I've never had luck with beetle spins and since they are so cheap I imagine a ton of people have used them there.

Dont have any roadrunners. My smallest jig head is 1/32 and I've got some of the BG Itty Slab slayers. May try them if the flies dont work. Heck I can cast them on the fly rod if I wanted!!!

I'd take one Road Runner over a dozen Beetle Spins. I've fished with a Beetle Spin user twice, while I was using a Road Runner, and literally caught 10:1 Crappie over the Beetle Spin user.
You keep posting in the Road Runner Contest ... you just may win 32 of them !!
