Default Good Action at Slower Trolling Speeds

What is a good jig for a slower presentation?
I longline exclusively and use curly tails (Southern Pro/Kalins/etc) 99% of the time, but the tails don't have enough action at slow speeds (.8 mph or less) to get many bites. Of course when I need to go deeper I add weight, but would like to go slower at times like in Winter when the fish can be deep and lethargic. Would the stinger types work or maybe the hal-fly types?

I long line hair jigs all the time..many times they have out fished plastics. I think it's more about being where they are.

Have you tried other styles of plastic? Paddle tails work extremely well at slow speeds. CB Slider Grubs are specifically designed for very slow presentations and are extremely productive. Mr. Crappie makes a good one too.

I do use some paddle tails occasionally along with curly tails, but not sure what they do at slower speeds.
