Default Boat problem, need a little help...

Have 96 Mariner 40 hp. Starts ok. Idles ok. Give it gas and it hesitates or stalls. Carbs are clean. Fuel filter new. Bulb tight. This engine only has about 20 hours on it. Any clues or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Try pumping the bulb while someone is giving it the gas. If it seems like it wants to go, you probably have a pinhole in your fuel pump diaphram. You might also check you linkage and make sure something didn't come loose causing it not to advance the timing as you give it throttle.
